Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full Business-tier access. No credit card is required to start. If you don't want to continue at the end of the trial, simply do nothing — your account will be downgraded to the Starter (Free) tier automatically and you will not be charged.

2. Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions (Pro, Business, Studio) are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. When you cancel, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account is downgraded to the Starter tier. We do not pro-rate or refund partial months.

3. Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are eligible for a prorated refund if you cancel within thirty (30) days of the most recent annual renewal or initial purchase. The refund equals the total amount paid minus (i) the value of months elapsed, charged at the equivalent monthly rate, and (ii) any one-time add-on usage already consumed (for example, AI caption credits beyond the monthly quota). Annual subscriptions cancelled after the 30-day window remain active until the end of the term and are not refunded; they will not renew. We send a renewal reminder email before each annual renewal — at least fifteen (15) days in advance, or earlier where your local law requires — stating the renewal amount, date, and how to cancel.

4. Trial-to-Paid Conversion

If you convert a free trial into a paid plan and decide it isn't a fit, the same rules above apply (no refund on monthly; 30-day prorated refund on annual). For clarity, the 30-day annual window starts on the date of the first paid charge, not the date the trial began.

5. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Sign in to Proveo and open Settings → Payments → Manage Subscription. You can also reach this through "Manage billing" in the dashboard.
  2. Click "Cancel subscription" in the Stripe Customer Portal that opens.
  3. You'll see your cancellation confirmation and the date your paid access ends.

If you can't access your account or you need help cancelling, email billing@proveohq.com and we will process the cancellation for you within two business days.

6. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank or card network. We can almost always resolve billing questions faster than a card dispute (typically within 24 hours). Fraudulent chargebacks — where the card was used legitimately and access was provided — may result in account suspension and referral of the disputed amount to collections. Where a dispute is filed and we present this Policy, your usage logs, and your acceptance of the Terms, card networks generally side with the merchant.

7. Stripe Connect Payouts (Business Tier)

Business-tier contractors who collect payments from their own customers through Stripe Connect operate under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. Refund and dispute decisions for payments that your customers made to YOU are governed by Stripe's policies and the terms you set in your service agreements. Proveo does not refund payments collected by you from your customers; only Stripe can do that.

8. EU and UK Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer (not a business) in the European Union, United Kingdom, or European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchased subscription within fourteen (14) days of the contract date, without giving a reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU. To exercise this right, write to billing@proveohq.com within the 14-day window and we will issue a full refund. By starting to use the Service during the 14-day period you agree that we may begin performance and that you waive the right of withdrawal to the extent the Service has already been provided. Note: this right does not apply to business or self-employed users, which is the typical Proveo user.

Mexico

For subscriptions billed in Mexican pesos: the amount, frequency, and billing date of recurring charges are disclosed before you subscribe and charged only with your express consent. A renewal notice is sent at least five (5) business days before each automatic renewal, and you can cancel immediately, at any time, without penalty, from Settings → Payments → Manage Subscription. On cancellation you keep access until the end of the period already paid.

Brazil — 7-Day Right of Withdrawal (Direito de Arrependimento)

If you subscribe from Brazil (when signups are open there), you may withdraw from a new paid subscription within seven (7) days of the first charge, without giving a reason, for a full refund. Write to billing@proveohq.com from your account email or use the in-app cancellation flow within the window; we will process the refund and notify the card issuer to reverse the charge. This right applies to the first purchase of a subscription — including the first charge after a free trial — not to subsequent renewals, which are covered by the reminder and cancellation rules above.
